Greetings from the family of faith at Union Lutheran Church and from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks for "surfin'" by.

We are a two-hundred year old mission congregation, because, for most of our life we served in a union setting. A union setting is the religious version of "time share." Two congregations, a Reformed congregation and a Lutheran congregation, shared the same building and did joint programming. However, as a result of the growth in the Schnecksville-Neffs area, the congregations decided in 1996 that each needed its own building as a ministry base. The Reformed congregation remained in the historic building (Neffs) and the Lutherans journeyed to the other side of the cemetery (Schnecksville) and built a new facility.

Even though we haven't moved very far, the Lutheran congregation has been traveling. We have journeyed through an enormous building project; crossed the wilderness of "what will we do with it?" and have begun the venture into the realm of being faithful to God's calling in this time and in this place. We have grown from a predominately PA German family setting to one that is rich in ethnic and cultural diversity. New and life-long members work side by side to build a strong foundation of service, worship, witness, education, and support. As the times and circumstances of our lives change, so too does the mission of the church. This is the only way can maintain our vitality and relevance for the lives of our people and the mission given to us by God.
