Relief Volunteers - Hurricane Isabel
In August, 2004, 10 missionary volunteers from Union Evangelical Lutheran Church drove to Cedar Island, on the coast of North Carolina, to use their skills to rebuilt the United Methodist Church parsonage that was destroyed by Hurricane Isabel. Other Lutheran Disaster Relief volunteers had worked on the building and it was now under roof with windows and drywall installed. Our team picked it up from here and spent the week installing doors, door and window frames, installation of finished molding, kitchen and bath cabinets, painting of all walls and installation of ceiling fans and lights.
